These marks aren’t damage—they’re a normal part of how the material ages and are considered part of its rugged, weathered character. As the bag flexes, the wax shifts slightly, creating lighter or darker areas that give the fabric its signature patina.

• Folding and bending — creases appear where the fabric flexes most.
• Temperature changes — warmth softens the wax, making marks more visible; cooler temps make them sharper.

How to reduce or soften marks:

• Warm the area gently with your hands to redistribute the wax.
• Use a hair dryer on low from a safe distance to lightly soften the wax, then smooth with a cloth.
• Re‑wax the bag if you prefer a more uniform look; fresh wax evens out the surface.
